About Carola De Ona Segura

Carola is a warm and compassionate AHPRA-registered psychologist who supports adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating life's emotional and psychological challenges. She is passionate about helping people better understand themselves, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful and sustainable change in their lives.

Carola works with a range of presentations including anxiety, stress and burnout, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Her approach is collaborative, non-judgemental, and tailored to each person's unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, Carola focuses on creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. She values the connection between mind and body and believes that lifestyle factors such as movement, rest, nature, relationships, and self-care play an important role in mental wellbeing.

Outside of therapy, Carola loves spending time in nature and finds a lot of balance and grounding through surfing, meditation, and being around animals. She values slowing down, staying connected to both mind and body, and believes that simple lifestyle habits such as movement, rest, connection, and time outdoors can have a powerful impact on mental wellbeing. This perspective naturally influences the warm, down-to-earth, and holistic approach she brings into her work with clients.
